How long does it take to complete a background check?

This can take anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks from paying for the record to full registration on the platform

Can I provide my own police record check and fingerprinting?

No – you cannot provide your own completed police record check and fingerprinting. You will need to follow the steps in the enrollment process to complete a new police record check and fingerprinting through CHRS.

Can I provide my own police record check and fingerprinting?

No – you cannot provide your own completed police record check and fingerprinting. You will need to follow the steps in the enrollment process to complete a new police record check and fingerprinting through CHRS.

Can I use a recent Police Record I got for another company for the ARISE Opportunity?

No. Your Police record must be done for Arise (through CHRS).

Should I purchase an expedited Police check receipt?

Yes. This will guarantee faster processing of your Police Record Check. Bear in mind that your application will be processed based on when it is received (first in first out).

What is the cost of getting an expedited Police check?

Six thousand dollars – $6,000 JMD

Will I be reimbursed for the Police Record receipt?

No- There is no reimbursement for the police report, or any other equipment needed to service on the Arise® Platform.

When will I get back my Police Record?

As soon as the record is uploaded to the Arise platform and you have been notified, you can collect it at a CHRS office located nearest to you at Unit 32 and 33 GWEST building in Montego Bay or The Business District located at 19 Cargill Avenue Kingston 10.

What are the steps for getting a Police Record completed?

1. Arise sends notification to ST advising them they would be sharing their personal data with CHRS and having them authorize this engagement
2. Arise sends your contact information (your name, Arise profile ID, email address, residential address and phone number) to CHRS.
3. CHRS will contact you by text via the “WhatsApp” application (876-276-4795) to start the Police Record Check process

  • EXISTING Police Records will not be accepted.
  • CHRS will confirm the validity of the original copy and once validated will send it to Arise.
  • If your existing Police Record Check is validated and confirmed by CHRS and sent to Arise you will receive confirmation from CHRS. You are not required to complete the additional steps listed below. Your Police Record Check process is complete.

4. CHRS will contact you via the WhatsApp application 876-276-4795 or 876-552-0404 so you may purchase your police record receipt with the Tax Office. The cost of this is (JMD) $6,000.

  • CHRS will request a copy of this receipt sent to them via the WhatsApp or email application AriseTeam@caribbeanhrsolutions.com. Keep your original receipt copy as this is required for your fingerprinting appointment (details below).

5. Two Passport size photos are required for the Police Record Check, these may be signed but NOT embossed.

  • MONTEGO BAY: ST would send a WhatsApp message to the Summit police station at 876-224-1012 or 876-758-5865 to schedule the fingerprint appointment OR
  • KINGSTON : Complete the Police Record online application at https://cro.jcfcorporatespecialservices.org/. You will upload the receipt from the Tax office, two Passport size photos, and enter all required personal information.

6. ST would share the fingerprinting appointment date confirmation to CHRS at 876-276-4795 or 876-552-0404. Please be advised that this appointment will be updated by CHRS with a new Saturday appointment.
7. CHRS will notify the Summit police station of the incoming Police Record Check application.
8. CHRS will confirm the Saturday appointment date and time for fingerprinting and provide you with this new date and time.

Where do I go to pay for my fingerprinting?

Please make your way to your closest tax collectorate (Inland revenue Department – Tax Office)..make sure to take your TRN with you.

What do I need to take with me on my Fingerprinting Appointment date?

a. Your Police Record receipt
b. A government ID (Driver’s License, Passport, or National ID card) and a photocopy will be left with the CHRS rep
c. Two passport-size photos

A CHRS rep will provide a letter of authorization for the STs to sign – this allows CHRS to collect the police record certificate from the Police station on your behalf.

How do I sign up for an opportunity?

Step 1:  Go to Arise.com, click on “Find the right fit”, scroll to geo locations and choose “Jamaica”

Step 2: If you are not already considered a sole trader but are interested in using the Arise® Platform,  please visit TRN – TAJ Portal (jamaicatax.gov.jm) to obtain a TRN. Then, once you are officially a sole trader, register to use the Arise® Platform.

Step 4: Complete the initial assessment (approximately 1 hour) – Customer Service and English Proficiency

Step 5:  See opportunities based on your match

Step 6: Run a Computer check (Computer Hardware and internet speed)

Step 7: Complete Background Check – this can take anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks

Step 8:  Start Class – certification classes vary per program and can take from 2 to 4 weeks

Step 9: Complete class and start earning

Do I have to work regular hours when I sign up?

Your work schedule is fully flexible and dependent on your availability

Can I service more than one client program?

The ability to service more than one program may vary depending on the terms of the opportunities available. Please review the bullets on the last page of the Opportunity Announcements for specific details.
